Atherstone Big Weekender 2025
Saturday 31st May & Sunday 1st June – Guaranteed Family Fun at Atherstone Big Weekender.
A local fun filled event for all the family, offering free things to do near you for all ages! With live music, local independent traders and a chance to discover some of the amazing local community groups.
Saturday 31st May we welcome Atherstone Farmers Market on the Market Square from 8.30am and then from 1.30pm we move into live performances from some AMAZING musicians.
All action in The Market Square (please note that there will be road closures in place on Church Street & Market Street over the day)
Music throughout the day will be supplied by Luv2Disco on the Market Square.
8.30am – 1.30pm: Atherstone Farmers Market with music and entertainment from Luv2Disco

Sunday 1st June is a FULL TOWN event 10.00am – 4.00pm
We have lots planned, with over 100 market stalls, FREE kids activities including mini train rides, circus skills and arts and crafts. The canal traders will be on the canal (Accessible from the Coleshill Road entrance)
Live performances will be taking place from Coleshill Brass Band, Scottish Pipers and ATown Sound. We have so much planned and its guaranteed to be a family fun filled day. Cohort 4 community group will be hosting a ‘safe space’ within the town for anyone who is feeling overwhelmed.
St Mary’s Church will be open throughout the day for children’s arts and crafts and entertainment.
FREE train rides on Ratcliffe Street, FREE circus skills workshops outside St Mary’s Church and FREE arts & crafts all for children in The Library

Vintage singer outside The Red Lion, Arts & Crafts club in the Youth headquarters behind St Marys Church and climbing wall in Woolpack Way Carpark.
We will be hosting a Dog Show on Sunday between 10am – 2pm on the car park for Riversmeet Vets. To register your dog you can do this in Wags & Co Pet Shop on Long Street, Atherstone or on Saturday 31st May in the Market Square.
RAF Flypast – we are incredibly excited that we have managed to secure an RAF flypast currently timetabled for 15.01 and a Lancaster. This is in celebration of VEDay and we will also be having a small VEDay celebration outside The Red Lion Hotel on the day as well.

Public Transport: Atherstone has regular bus services and information to routes that can bring you to Atherstone and information can be found on Stagecoach
Train: Atherstone is also served by an hourly train service and information can be found on London Northwestern Railway

ROAD CLOSURES
Market Street, Church Street and Sheepy Road (past the car park) will be CLOSED from 7.00am on Saturday 31st May until 11.30pm!
NO PARKING IN THESE STREETS THROUGHOUT THE WHOLE WEEKEND! INCLUDING THE MARKET SQUARE FROM FRIDAY 30TH MAY.
Long Street (from Woolpack Way) Sheepy Road (past the car park) and Ratcliffe Street (from North Street) will be CLOSED from 7am on Sunday 1st June until 6pm.
